dust&desert

Oh dear, not doing so great with this blog thing. I've just been in such a slump lately, it's really pretty draining actually. Affecting me, my uni work, life in general ughhhh. I don't know how to get out of it!

I'm hoping after these holidays things change, because it's my final semester of my degree, and I'm going to be a bit annoyed if I waste another 4 months feeling below average, and producing below average work.

Speaking of holidays, I am actually booked out! Uh, first time in my life? I finish uni around the 8-10th June, and then my Dad and I are going to Uluru for a couple of days on the 12th, I'm SO excited guys! Australia's most popular icon, and it's purrrty. About to buy a big bulk lot of film to use in the 500 cameras I plan on packing. Clothes? What clothes?
Then on the 18th I leave for Townsville to visit my bestie, which I am HANGING out for, capitals letters plus! 12 days of not being a hermit in my house, you can't even begin to imagine my excitement. Plus another friend just recently decided to come up as well which makes it even better! I can't wait!

Then, finally, I got accepted into a special elective offered at uni, which actually runs at the end of the holidays, from the 4th July till the 16th. It's a 2 week field trip out to Broken Hill (far west NSW) with other students and we get to play art students out in the desert, I can't wait! Another photomedia pal is coming with me, so I won't be the only nerd with 500 cameras. I hope I can get a lot done there, I plan on using some of my shots for my end of year work! We have a few classes back at uni for a few weeks, and it ends with a gallery exhibition, but the class practically finished not even half way through my semester so I'll only have my major work left to focus on! It'll be great.

Speaking of travelling though, I had to change my return flight from Townsville due to being accepted into the class, and man. It made me never want to fly Jetstar again. Jetstar, why you charge me so much to change flights! Gah!

Anyway, sorry for my absence. I hope my motivation comes back, but if it doesn't, talk to you in another couple of months! I kid, I kid...I hope.
